Is Lewis Hamilton making a mistake going to Ferrari

Remember when Lewis went to Mercedes in 2013 and everyone thought it was a huge mistake? That first year with them he only won one race and the car was very tricky to drive. The next year the regulations changed and the hybrid era began and it turned out to be a very smart move for him to have switched to them. The same thing could happen again with Ferrari, next year is another regulation change and the playing field will be reset.

These new cars will be interesting to see race, although they seem likely to be so much faster in a straight line? I do like that they will be a bit smaller, and lighter, but I don't like how stiff they have to be run to use the ground effects, maybe that will be reduced?

One thing I've learned in professional racing: There are no guarantees.

It’s 18-5 in qualifying and 17-3 in the race. Car is bad, he can’t adapt.
I'll admit, I like Hamilton (I tend to root for underdogs, in his case, his upbringing, ethnicity, etc in the F1 world) and have felt bad for him the last couple years with the Mercedes car and now the Ferrari. I do hope things turn around for him next year but changes need done at Ferrari.

Knowing that Ferrari quit working on 25 early to focus on 26, all I can say is that if he wins another WDC with a 3rd team that will be one for the ages. The thing that worries me is how badly they messed up 25 after coming in second for 24. And even if the car is good, Leclerc is no slouch.
