Hi,

I drive 2008 Nissan Versa - 1.6L HR16DE motor.

I last changed the ATF about 2 years - 1 month ago.
About - 25,000 kms ago.

Not sure which ATF was used, but the station used red colored A/C delco ATF (Plan on getting genuine ATF this time).

Does it sound like its time to change again?

What does the ATF on the dip stick look ,smell feel , like? My first BMW, I dropped the pan and changed the filter at 150 k miles. Then again around 200k. Trans was fine at 350 k

Many cars that were built in the last few years now have "lifetime" transmission fluid. Some don't buy it and will still change their fluid at 60k or 100k as it's not clear that lifetime is really lifetime yet. That's why it's probably not mentioned in the manual under the maintenance section. Make sure you get the right fluid though, the wrong fluid could damage your transmission.

Suggest you change the ATF earlier than normal due to break-in debris circulating in the fluid. Fluid might be OK, but the contamination is from the rough edges of the parts mating together.

Does this car have a CVT tranny? Make sure you get the right fluid! Otherwise don't change it.

Regards, JC.

The car is 2008 model...

Last time i changed ATF 2 years - 1 month ago - in November 2011.

When I changed the ATF, the odo was 97000 km.
(I dont know the previous service history)
The current odo is 123,000 km.

And the transmission is a 4 speed auto, not CVT.
