Is it possible my leaky injector is fixed?

A few months ago I posted my used oil analysis for my 2006 Civic which showed a whopping 7% fuel in the oil and a lot of people suggested it could be a leaky injector causing that. A friend of mine also asked me if I had trouble starting the car when it sat for a long time and I mentioned it did need to crank a few times before catching. I ran a couple of bottles of Gumout cleaners through the tank (one bottle of Regane complete fuel system cleaner on the first tankful and one bottle of fuel injector cleaner on the following one) Since doing this, the engine now starts up much quicker when the car has sat for a while, even times when I haven't driven it for more than 48 hours. So what I'm wondering now, is does this sound like I may have actually fixed a leaky injector simply through using in tank chemicals? Is that even possible? I tried it as a low cost first step try, honestly not really expecting it to work, but I am surprised at the results so far. I'll have to wait until my next used oil analysis in the fall for confirmation but I am hopeful that the fuel % will be significantly better the next time around.

Thoughts?

Although using a in tank fuel system cleaner does not cure a leaky inject a high percentage of time, it can and does. I would await your next UOA to confirm this but it sounds good.

Can you smell fuel in fuel dilluted oil? Unleaded gas has a distinctive odor. If you dicide to check that and the oil does smell like fuel, you can get an early UOA made and go from there.

Also, you can see fuel on an oil blot. After oil is absorbed into card stock there will be multiple rings between the center spot and outer ring.

Last week I left the Honda parked for one full week and when I fired it up the engine started up immediately without any excess cranking, so I'm convinced that my leaky injector is now fixed!

I'm curious, if there was any fuel in oil from the first portion of this OCI, will that burn off before I take my next sample at oil change time in a few months?

There wouldn't be enough old oil remaining to make a real difference...

Assuming a normal operating temp, any fuel entering the oil is constantly being burned off... Sooo if the condition that caused the problem is fixed, there won't be a issue with the next UOA...
