Hi at my wits end with my MK4 escort rs turbo cabby and hopefully someone can help.
I even swapped engine upgraded from k to ke jetronic.
My problem is car won't fire up , it cranks over and over and over. It only fires up if I push the plate down on the metering unit then once the fuels hit the sparks it will fire first time for half an hour.
I have good suction from engine ( done piston rings as well )
I've checked for years for a vacuum leak even re built turbo but to No avail.
Just replaced CSV sensor but am I right in saying it should still fire up on the other 4 Injectors if it's working or not?
Not sure if this is related but there seems to be pressure in the fuel tank ( it's brand new , new pump ) after it's been running , can hear the air when opening the fuel cap and the old tank looked like it had been bashed in ( could fuel pressure cause this? )
So basically it only starts pushing the metering unit flap down.
Any help with what to check next would be greatly appreciated
