Greetings:

I have been using Black Magic's spray wax for the last 45 days or so, due to the cold weather. Usually when it gets up to about 40 degrees or a little less. It has been beading the water well. Could I combine it with Meg 26, or use Black Magic's reg liquid wax with meg 26 and then follow up with BM spray wax? I also have extra Platinum Turtle wax too. I am just trying to find a good combination type of mixed formulation, that would yield exceptional results, with my surplus of waxes? What say you? I remember when Blue Coral had a liquid wax that went on like windex and shined very well!

Best Regards

BM spray wax is loaded with silicone; it will look good when initially applied, but will have very limited durability.

The best wax that you mentioned you have is the Meg #26, although if it is the paste version than it can be hard to work with sometimes(getting it streak-free).

The boost the gloss right after using it, you can take a quick detail spray or a spray bottle of water over the whole car and wipe with a microfiber towel.

I found Black Magic spray wax to be too thick...so much so that the sprayer couldn't distribute it evenly. I diluted it with some Meguiars Spray detailer and like it a lot better.

As far as durability, there really is none. It's gone with the first wash. I use it between real wax jobs as a dusting aide and shine booster.

I second Drew's comment.

Most spray waxes are about the same and work fine when used as a booster on top of a more durable wax, like Meg's #26. Use the combo you like the best, with the spray wax being used after a car wash.

When the weather improves, do a full detail including paint cleaning clay and a paint cleaning polish to remove wax build up and winter driving crud. Finish with the #26 or other durable wax, then use the spray waxes to keep the paint looking sharp.
