Is BITOG Even Necessary Any More?

Humorously OP had some more questions about oil once the next fad comes around. Couldn't get access, completely locked out. "Restore" error messages while page tries to load.
🤣
I'm sure if it gets to that level I can use a VPN or something. Or *shudders* go to the public library and use their computers.

BITOG has always had its current favorite elixir.
Some may have been snake oil (not mentioning ARX, which I did use and which did eliminate a CEL code on my '97 Aerostar) but all have had many adherents.
If anything, I'd say that VRP validates the existence of BITOG.
Where else would you find a group of DIYers willing to try the oil and share their experiences with it?
In the absence of this online board you'd have nothing more than Valvoline's promotional claims, while here you have a number of real users to validate (or not) the efficacy of the oil in doing what Valvoline says it will do.

Nope, BITOG isn’t necessary. Please run away while you can, before you get sucked in by the “oil is oil” crowd, or the “but the manual says I can’t run thick oil” crowd…
That's my problem. I'm part of all of them and I'm LOSING MY MIND CAUSE IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!! 🤣

I'm fairly certain, from what I've seen so far, if I use SuperTech Synthetic and change it every 5,000 miles... that I'll never need anything different as far as oil.
