I run Amsoil XL 5w20 in my Civic. I assumed it was a full synthetic, as there is nothing on their website to indicate otherwise. I noticed some oils on their site specifically say 100% synthetic. What gives? Is XL a blend?

It's not 100% synthetic, as the price reflects. I believe it's a blended oil of group II and III oils.

They are GRP-III and allowed to be labeled Synthetic. It is an excellent oil and produces some really great UOA's which are posted on this site. I have used it

As others have stated, it's a group III oil.
