My iPhone seems to be doing this lately and every time it’s the phone that has to be rebooted. I only have stock apps and the phone will start repeatedly dropping a strong 300meg WiFi signal and only work on cell data.

Only solution is a hard reboot of the phone and all is well again.

How often are you going between reboots? I get the impression you're not going very long between reboots, then below is my suggestion. If it's going months between reboots, you should reboot more often, but doing what I note below could solve the problem as well.

Start with the router, if you have personal access to it, make sure the firmware is up to date.

Is the phone on the latest operating system? Should be iOS 17.5.1

If these are in line then...

Do a backup and restore to get a fresh install on the phone.

Ideally, this is through a computer, but the on-device backup and restore is pretty reliable now compared to years past.

Check if your router can have scheduled restart. Forces all devices to renew the sessions.
Mine restarts every sunday night.

And as above check all firmware is up to date.

Instead of rebooting, have you just tried toggling airplane mode on and off? What kind of wifi system do you have? Is it deprioritizing your cell phone?

Have you already tried to restart your router and see how [long] that helps?
