It's not like anyone hasn't been aware of an impending rate increase. I, for one, will keep funding my 401K and IRA and take my chances.

Absolutely! Max out the IRA every year and stash all available spare cash in a 401K. There are some good funds available so you don't have to try to manage your investments. The tax advantages are really big.

My goodness. Busy morning. My portfolio went crazy this morning. Took profits on 4 an bought/added to 3. Jan./17 will have better divs.

I still don't like the fact that IRA maximum contribution limits are so low.

MAX OUT the 401K $24K year, max out the HSA, then do the discount stock purchase plan, then have the max possible savings autodeducted. Pretty cool ways top save.

Yeah, I've bought company stock for the last 30 years because of the employee discount we get. Can buy some today and sell next month for a profit.

Don't forget to max out your voluntary pension plan.
