Just to share.
About 6 years ago, after I had made $250k on one stock, I mentioned to a close family member that I should buy MO with the money I had made as it was trading at about $18/share and had a 10% dividend yield.
The person told me that the tobacco companies were a bad investment. I knew that the government would not let the lawyers put them out of business, but I did not pull the trigger.
I'm not going to say what this cost me. It was my fault for not listening to my gut, but listening to my greed. I hope I've learned my lesson and thanks for listening.
I took the money I made on GOOG last year and bought more oil and GE. It's my current play.
