Where the heck are Amkeer and the 'Ranger?

I try to drop in here every day or two, but haven't had much of anything to contribute. You guys make me nervous just reading about your frequent trades.....

I'm feeling like the Thanksgiving Turkey, though, with my neck stuck out on the chopping block. Over the last three or four weeks I've loaded up on shares of oils and industrials, (ExxonMobil, Textron, Lockheed Martin) and am down to less than 10% cash. That's very low for me, especially in this environment.

I'm looking for a rally between now and the end of the year, and hoping it's not just wishful thinking.....

I agree, Mr Marx. We've had a correction in energy lately, but the fundamentals are still intact. It may be early spring before we get a really big move in oil again, but I see very little downside from here.

I would say that my return for sure just jumped into double digits. So much for following indices!

GM - I'm REALLY quiet when I'm in red territory.

Problem is now I'm back to 45% cash and nothing looks like a buy!

The S&P is way overbought now, and due for a pullback. I don't think it'll be much though, and it should be of short duration.

Google got another brokerage buy recommendation, so it could be ripe to sell. I don't own it; too rich for my blood.....

Oils are going up again, good call Groucho.

Lost my shirt on a trade earlier in the year, so I'm playing catch-up; so far up about 4% YTD. Looking for a strong finish though. Here's to beating the averages....

I agree LR - that's why I sold lots yesterday. I stumbled into some energy plays (alone and inside mutual funds) that have popped up the last few days. I'm not sure what to do with the silly NOIGF (see above) and GASFX which I can't sell within 180 days without a 1% flopping fee.

I'm making a mistake as well. Google is taking up too big a percent of my total portfolio. It's been good so far on the ride up.

I'm raising my stop loss on it to 400 bucks for half my shares right now.

Sometimes you get luckly. A few moves I pondered out loud 5 and half years ago were dismissed by a close family member. Had i played it my way, I would have easily over a million bucks today. My mistake was not following wht common sense told me. It's my fault and no one else's.
