I used to like trading dividends but there so low now it’s not worth the risk. XOM used to be great. They would do a 4% dividend ( which I would Drip) then a 4-5% buyback so you getting 8-9% to sit. Oil would spike - sell - rinse / repeat. It’s half all that now at best.
Now that I am sitting on cash you two need to tell me what to buy

I did good on Ford divs once
If I remember in February they double so I got $3k
But when I'm up a good bit I'm not going to sit a few weeks to collect a dividend...

When your stuck in a turd with no escape they are a great benefit

I’m not following. Dividends come from the equity and aren’t free money.

Speaking of money 💰
Just got back from the dollar general. They scan every dollar they get even $1 bills........

I bought pltr last night around 4 am
$168.84 and only 100 shares as I don’t want to get into it much..
In a few minutes I squeezed $93 out of it as I had bad vibes and an hour later its would have been down $250+

I later bought it back in the low $167s and will hold for hopefully a real profit... I don't need the stress of 500 to 1000 shares...

Hit PLTR 3x today....all 100 share playing it safe hits... should have done 250 shares but thrilled

I'm trying to get in NWL on the rock bottom with 10k shares before 11/28 record date to steal dividends and then dump... I have to get it under $3.27
