Sold INTC. No real reason other than its been flat for 6 months and I needed fewer stocks to track and needed the cash for other equities. It was a better investment idea when we were trading sideways. In a volatile market I think there are better buys.

I still think there efforts to build fabs here in the USA will turn out. I wish them luck.

Most countries have VAT's. A VAT is essentially a tariff, when it comes to 2 way trade between countries - ie when Canadians sell to USA they pay no VAT, when we sell to Canada we do. I explained it above.

You can disagree, but most economists agree with me. Although most economists disagree with tariff's also. They don't like Tariff's or VAT's or really any tax - there unproductive. Milton Friedman is famous for railing on taxes, tariff's, VATS and government unproductive spending in general.

Also, in a sound money system a trade deficit would mean your currency would fall, and would help balance trade between two countries. However the US dollar keeps getting stronger even with ever bigger trade deficits. The downside of the reserve currency.

But none of the current moves are really about tariff's. There about too much debt, a shrinking populace and a dieing system.
I'll take a look when I get a chance but will add VAT and tariffs have some fundamental differences even if they both ultimately increase prices for the consumer. The biggest difference being tariffs are punitive, discriminatory by nature, and generally used as a negotiating tool while VAT is not and more uniformly applied.

Maybe, those sound like internal issues. From a balance of trade standpoint it doesn't matter. Also your missing the piece about trade balance and currency float, which does not work when your dealing with the reserve currency.

Anyway too much for this forum. I didn't bring up tariff's but its a lot of information I believe to be wrong. Everyone gets an opinion. Its really just the music while the curtain is down. When the actors get the new set ready, the real show may begin.

My buddy just bought Main Street Capital ...only 10 shares and then read bad articles and flipped it 5 minutes later for a profit of 80 cents 😆 🤣 😂 😹

Well this would be the story of my life. Sit on it while it does nothing for 7 months. Sell it just to free up some capital, they announce a new CEO and its up 11%.

Murphy lives at my house.

Intel pops today because they have a new CEO.

Is Intel a ‘has been’ company from the past with little innovation in 2025 ?

I couldn't get in any of my stuff after hours or today.....I was planning to victimize TSLA but that ain't happening today...no buying any dip
