Wait.

No.

Geezers don’t think that.

Some few geezers and a bunch of younger gens think that
I am not pointing fingers at any particular person, especially not anyone here.

But from a pure generational standpoint, the baby boomers have been the largest voting block for 40 years.

During that time the debt skyrocketed - government and corporate. The fed pumped trillions into companies via ZIRP to juice the markets. There never was a spending program congress didn't like. Every time there was a slow down they were OK with a payroll tax holiday but no one ever said your SS benefits had to decrease with it.

Where do they think their kids learned about getting all this free stuff?

Back to serious business. NVDA.

Earnings history below. They sold off pretty hard today, and continued after hours. Someone know something? Makes you go hmmm.

They would need to beat their estimate consensus heavily to make people happy I would think. Somewhere approaching maybe as high as $5 maybe?? That puts TTM at 11.38 so their P/E would be around 61.

So what say you?

$5.67 or toast tomorrow. If the day ever comes this year and the market gets trashed I’ll look heavy into the 7. To my detriment I shy away from tech but … well maybe it’s time, always seems a day late? … I do have only index funds in my 410k guessing so have a pretty good tech presence don’t pay much attention but maybe 40%

Wow - that would be some beat.

Oh man. I wrote that before I got out of bed this morning. Even though you highlighted the numbers I misread it.
Yeah, I dont think it will be toast as long as it's above $5, maybe $5.25 ... but what do I know? Maybe $5.67 isnt out of the woods?
I am curious, more long term, maybe there will be a better "get in" price later in the year. I see the company is talking that there will be supply issues coming out of Taiwan short term (meaning this year they may flatten out a while) until production capacity can be increased.
Im sure its not a major concern but what happens if a flare up with mainland China. Maybe mostly media talk but whatever. I mean even if China takes over they arent going to in anyway destroy the manufacturing base there.
I know nothing about this company, but I am interested, like the rest of the world at this point. *LOL* Which might be dangerous. But seems like a safer investment than the EV car maker.

Ever notice how the media reports market moves? I hear a headline or a reporter urgently exclaim "STOCKS TUMBLE!!!"

From M-W Dictionary:
tumbled; tumbling ˈtəm-b(ə-)liŋ
intransitive verb
1 : to fall suddenly and helplessly
b : to suffer a sudden downfall, overthrow, or defeat
c : to decline suddenly and sharply (as in price) : DROP
the stock market tumbled
d : to fall into ruin : COLLAPSE

So what exactly was this horrific "TUMBLE" they alluded to? I am thinking OMG the market must have fell 3-5% but then I read it was just -0.74%. Whatever.

Then, on another day I hear them mumble that stocks simply "rose". So I figure it was a quiet day, maybe up 0.2-0.3%, then I see it was up 1.1% or something. Why do they report like this? They embellish the down days and then shrug off good days.
