I ran it for 10,700 miles with a TBN of 4.1, but added 1 qt during this period. I did have high aluminum and iron count. But can't blame it on oil, it's easily capable of 10,000 miles on most cars and probably 15,000 miles on some application. I would do a used oil anaylsis around 8,000 to see where your heading with it.
The only good reply right here. Instead of just speculating and going off of other people's opinions, do a used oil analysis to determine the condition of the oil based on your engine and driving style. This will tell you far more information then any of us ever could.
Mobil 1 Extended Performance does contain stronger / more additives then regular M1, so TECHNICALLY, it should be able to go longer. I'd also say that 10k is do-able if your driving conditions don't fall under the SEVERE service category.
