So This weekend I went to home depot to buy some black magic engine shine. Which I have used it previously and like it as I don't have to cover anything. Anyways this time around I made sure that it covers all the parts in bore including electric connectors. I washed it pretty good, let engine dry for couple of hours. Turns out, significant amount of vibration is gone. So is it electrical connectors or something else? anyone?

I don't know what you're driving, so I'll speculate. The only thing I can think of is while fiddling with your engine, you've accidentally improved a connection between your distributor and the spark plugs, be it between the wires / cap or the wires / plugs, and now the cylinder that was occasionally missing is now firing correctly.

You inadvertently lubricated the rubber engine mounts with the stuff (and water), leading to a temporarily smoother engine. Similar to how your suspension feels new and supple in the rain. I get a more lasting quiet and smoother suspension by glopping every rubber part I can reach under the car with rubber protectant about once a year. I admit it. I'm a BITOGer.
