Interesting Tidbit on oil filter for pentastar eng

Looking around on the Advance Auto website and looked to see if the stocked a PureOne for the Pentastar engine.

Purolator Classic, L36135: $13.99, shows as an exact match
Purolator PureOne, PL36135: $12.99, says that it doesn't fit

I don't trust parts website in part fitting. I check manufacture website in finding part, in this case oil filter, that fits my cars.

Even manufacture website has error too. Mann has wrong air filter for my 2000 E430 (about 1" longer), but has correct air filter for 2001 E430 which is the same for 2000. I then look at Rockauto and Amazon, both have wrong part number too, same as listed on Mann website. But Amazon has second part number that fits 2000 E430.

Yeah, I've seen errors like this before. I thought the price was very interesting. Might have to buy a few before they catch on.
