With all of the hype about Purolator filter tears, I'm wondering if anyone has noticed something on their website...
"Purolator PureOne oil filters should be replaced every 3,000 miles or 3 months depending on the driving conditions - or unless otherwise specified"
They also state the synthetic filter provides protection for 10,000 miles.
There is no mention of an interval for the standard filter.
With this info, I have a few questions:
1. Is anyone noticing a media failure on the synthetic filter?
2. If the recommendation is 3/3 on the PureOne, does this perhaps explain why Purolator has supposedly not "corrected" the issue? (the failures happen after their recommended interval, therefore it performed to expectations)
3. What would be the "interpreted" interval for the standard filter? (considering it's supposed to be inferior to the PureOne)
