Hello everyone. I used my new Stihl FS56 string trimmer today. When I bought it the unit had a fuel/oil mix in it from the dealer. I used that up today and had to open my first can of Motomix for the trimmer. I noticed something interesting. There was a difference between how the unit ran from what was in it to the Motomix. I know the oil that was in the trimmer was the Stihl oil but not sure about the gas. I noticed that with whatever was in the trimmer it would take a couple bulb pumps and two to three pulls to start the trimmer. It would idle somewhat smooth. With the Motomix the trimmer would start the very first pull but idle rougher and shake more. I thought that was interesting. Then I pulled the throttle trigger. What a difference. The trimmer would actually torque in my hands and twist. No so with whatever fuel was in it from the dealer. Like I said, this is my first ever trimmer and I am new to all of this. I just thought it was interesting to note. I am enjoying my new FS56 trimmer and the ease of use of the Motomix fuel/oil.
