I was surfing the web and looking at Amazon.com and found a 5.1qt jug that looks exactly like that of the Wal Mart Super Tech motor oil that we all know...except that it is white! amazon.com motor oil Scroll down to product # 39 Is it me or does that jug look like the "other" Super Tech jug that is used in some states that don't get the Mobil style jug. I'd say that is the Formula Shell jug !!!! What do you think?

I don't know about that but i do know $59.99 is too much for 3 jugs of Formula Shell. All we have around here are the blue "wpp" jugs.

What I'm saying is that my guess is that Warren is NOT the bottler of Super Tech oil it is SOPUS. whistle Typical thing to change the color of the bottle, but the design is the same as that of Formula Shell. Seems like the way they did it with Mobil in some states too.

The SuperTech bottles at my stores do not look like Shell/Pennzoil jugs. But Warren/WPP jugs, which have there own design for their jugs. Maybe Shell is filling your in CA.

That argument has large holes in it.. not the least of which is the fact that walmart buys more oil than some countries. I'm sure they could get whatever bottle they want. Not saying you are wrong.. just saying there is no proof you are right either. also the bottles around here dont look like that.

Now I'm a bit confused....so are there actually THREE styles of these 5 qt jugs with Super Tech oil???? I know there is a mobil style version, and the version I just posted, and another too?

I am almost positive i have read on here before that in some areas of the US that XOM is the bottler for Supertech oils. I have only ever seen the blue WPP jugs, but who knows these things are subject to change.

The page must vary according to where you live or such.. I would guess if you just scroll around on that page you will find the Formula Shell 5qt jug. It is there.

My thoughts exactly wink But.....even without TRYING to look for the image (Where's Waldo is still my favorite book of all time, thank you!) - I kind of figured out what the OP was "getting at".....and yes....even the oil products/images pictured at walmart.com - show this "Shell-ish" container wink BTW.....is this the Shell bottle you are directing us to? Anyways, this is what all the bottles look like at Walmart.com smile THOUGH, will say, I have not seen any that look like that here in FL.....we got these kind: BTW, this was also discussed in another thread (found during my picture/image hunting lol...) http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2422270 That being said, don't expect to get the "space age looking" XOM bottles, if you order oil from walmart.com smile They likely have fine print somewhere that "Item picture may differ from product sold" or something.....

It's funny how the SAE5W-30 is written in the same style. Valvoline also have the same style. On the Shell, my eyes initially deceived me into thinking it read 35W-30!

Actually my secondary residence is located in the South East and our version of the 5qt jug looks EXACTLY like the Formula Shell jugs with the blue instead of white.
