I found this video interesting w/r to the discussion of ANs. One of the selling points of HPL is the AN content as a co-base. I note in the video he says a 5-10% treat rate of ANs to the base oil is typical for automotive applications because of ANs lower VI. Interesting that there is no mention of the cleaning properties of ANs that is popular here.

Interesting comments wrt focus areas on industrial kit being different - and that’s not just gearboxes, compressors, etc …
Some large engine folks want an oil sample taken at temp and load - like from an oil cooler line - a sump sample is a no-no …
