Intake manifold oil leak?

Grr. So I checked the oil today on the villager, down 3/4 of a quart. Looked at the oil pan, had oil covering it. Looked under the hood, and found oily residue with dirt in it so it was like that sandy paste. I think its the intake manifold gasket leaking but I have never done one. I'm putting some pics up. It looks to be leaking on the screws holding the black 6 cylinder tubing. If it is the intake manifold gasket, do I need two of them and the one gets sealed to each side(manifold and w/e manifold goes into) and then they get tightened together or it just one gasket? Thanks guys. Also what is the metal wire thing going over the manifold and do I need to remove it?

have you tried re-torquing the bolts?

Intake on this engine is super easy.

If I am looking at it correctly, that is the plenum with oil on the bolts you have pictured. There is no oil going through the plenum (upper intake). That is normal fuzz and stuff on the upper intake. The oil on the bottom of the engine is something to look into. That may require some attention like an oil pan/oil pan gasket or something along the lines.

The wire thingys in the third picture looks like the throttle cable linkage (from the gas pedal) and the cruise control cable. I'd think they need to be disconnected to get some clearance.

That is a 3.0l nissan motor in the villager, it is over head cam so the valley under the inktake is dry(no oil), but I think coolant flows through the lower intake, can't remember though. That oil on the upper plenum looks like normal vapor seeping, you could try check bolt tightness though. If your are having leaks below more than likely valve covers or oil pan. I would check the pcv and vent system to make sure crankcase is venting properly. I have fixed a couple of oil leaks on cars do to faulty PCV/Vent systems.

hmm. I'll check it tomorrow and post back with my finding but thanks guys. Is it possible its an oil pan gasket? seems weird that would leak

Good news is its not the manifold. Put it up on the ramps, the oil pan was covered in fluid. There seemed to be fluid coming from the drive shaft. Is this a simple seal I just need to have my shop do? There also seemed to be fluid coming from the part of the pan that goes into the transmission(differential?), where the pan has a half moon shape. Any idea what this is? I'd like to know how it works and what exactly the oil is circulating through. Also the pan seemed to be getting rusty should I replace it anyways? On rock auto there is one that says with oil sensor hole and without oil sensor hole. I don't know the difference anybody know which one will fit? Thanks =)

Rear main seal ? oil pan bolts need retorque? trans input shaft seal ? cv shaft seal? degrease it all ,wipe it all down real well ,put fresh cardboard down on the cement, inspect daily if you can.As for the oil sensor hole ,a call to the dealer with the VIN should do it.

Its a simple seal to do, but getting to it is not so simple.
