Installing a Larger Cat Oil Filter on a 6.6 Duramax

Exactly. He took "oversize oil filter" to the next level, and then one more level. Oversize oil filters can be a good thing, for certain applications / circumstances, but this CAT commercial filter is just... whoa. I mean, dang bro.

The other thing is the micron rating. With a common rail setup you don't really want to mess around with that. The CAT is 20% efficient at 4 microns and 99% efficient at 20 microns. The stock Duramax filter (PFF50216) I can only find is rated for 4 microns but I can't find the efficiency. It could be much higher.
