Well yes and no...a catch can does not really need a filter media or any real mechanics at all, it just needs to be a recepticle that will catch condensation/moisture. I dont see any reason why a plain jar capped with an inlet and outlet for air to go wouldnt work. Or am I missing something?
It would have to be baffled internally to work right.
Some mechanism, or routing, would have to separate the gasses from the liquids.
That fuel filter won't work.
The second page has pictures of a MANN seperator and a Summit seperator. The second one is only 30 bucks US. VW Diesels can not tolerate much oil in the return line so the fixes they show are likely to be the best around.
