Inherited a new gas can! Surecan 5 gallon, with spout at the base

Bought some generic gas spouts off Amazon, and they seem well made. New life for an old can!

I got caps with flexible hose spouts and vent plugs to drill into the can. I got them from Rural King because they don't have a physical presence in NJ. It appears it's illegal to sell these in NJ if the seller has a physical presence in NJ .

A Wavian NATO can is around $120. They were $70 a couple years ago. There an absolute marvel of engineering if you dig into them.

$76 for a ABS can still seems expensive.

I switched to motocross style cans a long time ago and haven't looked back.

I'm glad to still have my 2.5 gallon Eagle gas cans. Old school.

Thats all I use is the metal Eagle cans with the spring loaded cap. I like that you can get gaskets for the caps and that they close with or without the plastic spout attached.

I also use the plastic 5 gallon race fuel jugs sometimes. And a Wavian Jerry Can. The wavian Jerry can is perfection in design, owing to the original can some Cherman came up with.
