Inherited a new gas can! Surecan 5 gallon, with spout at the base

Hello everyone! Inherited a 5 gallon surecan! I learned my lesson with questionable fuel cans. The last one I emptied out the 2 stroke gas, filled with ethanol free, and once I dumped it into my garden tractor I saw water in the tank I just flushed out!

This time I used 8 ounces of 70 percent rubbing alcohol and flushed the can out! Works great for water. Also cheap to buy.

I don't expect any issues soon.

I've also had these filtering funnels for years! They work excellent

Just tired of not having a valve on a gas can to carefully fill small engine tanks. Now I have this sure can. Always wanted a good one. These are $56 on Amazon and $80 in stores just about! Would never go out and spend that money on one of these.

Btw I commandeered one. During hurricane Sandy, my wife got her bff in Cali to next day air 2. She gave them to her aunt in northern NJ.

They never so much as even used them. I saw them in the garage on a shelf, so I took one. They always get others to give them stuff then hoard said items

I seen this can pop up in a donyboy73 video recently? Anyways, looks like it's way easier to dispense than ones that came before it. I'll consider getting one in the future. Does it show a picture on how the internal opening valve works?

My apologies, it automatically comes up at first as the 2.2 gallon and not the 5 gallon. That's why the price was $56. Man, either way it's just incredibly expensive for a 5 gallon gas can! Many of us are using a red "utility jug" with zero issues. Some people add a ball valve on the spout!

A Wavian NATO can is around $120. They were $70 a couple years ago. There an absolute marvel of engineering if you dig into them.

$76 for a ABS can still seems expensive.

I have one of these. I've heard that the little red safety catch sometimes falls off the spout and it's much easier to operate. I have 4 different HDPE gas cans and all say MADE IN USA surprisingly as is the OP's.
