Indian motorcycle sold

Sad. I'm a Laissez-faire Capitalist, but PE's can be destructive. That said, Carolwood does seem to pursue a strategy of investing, holding and growing. Could be worse...

Hard to be that kind of Capitalist based on what businesses have to be going through right now. If your operations are affected by things out of your control based on where you source your parts-it's not your fault-especially if said parts can't be sourced at a reasonable price elsewhere.

We are going to see more of these situations.

It's more about the fact that interest in motorcycles has been declining for awhile. Boomers are simply getting old enough to stop riding, or dying off. GenX (my generation) is getting up there in age too, and there simply weren't as many of us to begin with. Our kids (gen Z) despite being around motorcycles their entire lives, and having both parents riding, have no interest in riding on the street. They did ride dirtbikes a bit, but that interest has passed, or is at least on hold while they start their own families.

I have family who owned a M/C dealership, they got out of the business almost 10 years ago, as they saw the market declining. The dealership where I bought our newest sportbike, is surviving on SxS sales and service.
