Impressive dead stick landing

Ha-ha...There was a joke about Sully going around when that happened....He didn't give the cross-street....

" we are ditching in the Hudson at 135th St. ", would've been better.

A friend saw him in public shortly after in NYC, "be spotted and called out.." and he received a round of applause.

Summary: "Juan Browne" copied a video shown thousands of different times all over the internet, he added commentary, and commercials, to sell T shirts, and to get hits on his Youtube channel. For shame.
Let's say you have pain in your stomach. You tell your wife about it, your cousins, your brother/sister, your friends. They all have commentary about it.
Then you go to a specialist, you know, a guy/girl who went to medical school, did specialization for 8 years, etc., etc., and then they tell you something about it. Do you say: "Ah, doctor just gave commentary like everyone else?" Or do you actually pay attention to what the doctor says?
Juan Brown is 777 Captain. He has expertise. You and I cannot be captains in 777. But he is, because he has certain skills and knowledge that allow him to be that. So, his commentary is expert opinion based on available facts! When you and me comment on that, it is just "another dude that pulled out opinion out of his butt." But when he comments on something related to his expertise, that is different! He can actually be someone who can be involved in an investigation, etc. etc. bcs. he has that knowledge, skills and experience.
Of course, that does not prevent you from becoming Juan Brown. Maybe you should try.

When this event happened, there were vidoes of the landing everywhere on the internet. Watching Juan's video, with his commentary, he said virtually nothing of interest that separated him, showing special knowledge, over all the others posted. In the middle of his 1.5 minute commentary, he's selling Tee shirts.

He may be the best commentator on the internet, but that doesn't change anything here.

Meanwhile over in the oil section , the motor oil geek is popular ( I watch his videos, just like Juan Browne ) even though he leads with deceiving video titles IMHO for click bait.

The latest video he has talking about problems with GMs 6.2 was already all over the internet.

I recall you stating it was an excellent video.

I had never seen this video on the internet until Juan Browne posted it. I watched it but didn’t buy any T Shirts.

Jr. posted a good video about the GM issue. He had inside information about that engine in question. He didn't try to sell Tee shirts. He did use a click bait title, though, as I stated previously. Don't try to make up for this weak video by attacking something unrelated, that's a fail.

He is selling click baits.

Just like Juan Browne, some videos are better than others.

Nothing new in motor oil geeks video ( he has talked about viscosity many times before ) except the problems with that engine that was already all over the internet and who knows if using a higher viscosity will even solve the problem caused by other engineering problems.

He made money with another video talking about 0w8 in his daughters car and I notice he never said he was going to use a heavier oil and not listen to Totoyta.

So much for not listening to the OEM recommendations.

Don't defend stuff that's hypocritical.

I liked the well coordinated low speed low altitude turn at the tree. Just the right amounts of controls and very nicely done. I can hear that stall whistle going off just like it should with a minimum energy landing like that. Some people have the feal of the aircraft, and then there are those who haven't a clue.

There you go again. Defending Juan's video by attacking someone else. NO.
There you go again not seeing the hypocrisy.

Lots of people criticize his oil videos but I just watch them and realize his main goal is to make money and I don't take the guy too seriously , at times.

Now, if a person thinks his videos are great but complains about how unethical ( just trying to sell T Shirts ) another guy is who has interesting airplane videos and sells T shirts nobody is forced to buy , well then, you right, here I go again pointing out the hypocrisy.

Anyone who isn’t a pilot and hangs out in the oil section and enjoys Motor oil geek videos isn’t in any position to be opining on what little value Juan Browne videos are, or their ethics selling T shirts.

If you are a pilot, there is value in watching that video.

If your not a pilot, many find entertainment value in watching stuff like that too.
