Allulose in my coffee and homemade keto desserts has a GLP1 effect too.
I probably missed it in my ADHD, but those numbers look like statins involved. Statins and when, if so?@jetman
For some reason when I download my data it is not including 2017 which I post right below

Anyway, these are all pretty respectable numbers yet have a CAC score of 471 and 20% + plaque "all over the place" in my arteries. In addition to no diabetes. Someone would have to believe there is something genetic going on like the High Lipo A that I have.
GOOD POINT!I probably missed it in my ADHD, but those numbers look like statins involved. Statins and when, if so?
Yeah the altitude always gets peopleYou'll need to be fit if you do much hiking around Leadville!
Cholesterol #s can be high for those that are lean and on a low carb diet, < 20 gr/day.Here's what been happening with me since I reduced my dietary carbs 18 mths ago:

My lALT result from last week was 19, in a range of 5 to 55.Also pay attention to your ALT. Paints a similar picture to triglycerides. Note the typical published ranges for acceptable ALT are garbage.
I've lost 50 Lbs (208 to 158). I weigh what I did my sophomore yr in HSYou lost 40 pounds.
Our numbers are not hugely different, but I still say I'm missing something. My insulin response is weak and slow. I don't know exactly why.@Pablo
Plaque Begets Plaque, and since I know I have CVD = CardioVascular Decease = NOT Good
I'm 68 yrs old, BMI=22, <20% body fat, 5'11", 158 Lbs, eating low carb/high fat ketogenic diet. I have been fat adapted and in a mild state of nutritional ketosis since last Dec. I'm athletic & metabolically healthy.
I'm a Lean Mass Hyper Responder (LMHR). I have no other health issue(s) that I know of.
IMO my heart attack/stroke risk is elevated.
How/Why do I think this?
I have heart artery calcified stable plaque as determined by my CAC test I had done 4 of 2025,
and
I have carotid artery heterogeneous partially calcified plaque in both left & right sides as determined by my CIMT scan test I had done 2 weeks ago.
April 2025, for curiosity sake, I had a CAC score test (Coronary Artery Calcium) done = 33 Agaston score in my LAD (Left Anterior Descending = widow maker) artery. 11-100 is considered a "MILD" risk of CAD = coronary artery decease. They gave me an arterial age of 65. I was 67.
Then a couple of mths ago after I saw/read the Keto CTA study which states "Plaque Begets Plaque" I did a little more research and discovered the non-evasive Carotid Intima Media Thickness/CIMT test by CardioRisk. My CIMT results could have been better but could have been worse. My left & right carotid bulbs and the left CCA have heterogeneous = partially calcified plaque, which is somewhat stable and less risky than soft plaque. They gave me an arterial age of 80. I'm 68.
This week I had my medicare annual wellness tests/visit with my primary care physician (PCP). He was concerned about my high LDL. I asked if he knew what a Lean Mass Hyper Responder was. He did not. So I didn't mention my CIMT test results. I did tell him I was concerned too and asked for him to order a medicare approved imaging test that can see soft caronary artery plaque. So he ordered a CT Angiogram (with contrast) on my Coronary Arteries with Fractional Flow Reserve. Its schedued for April 15th. We will see.
In the meantime I'm not changing a thing until after I get my April 15th test result.
I feel great! That's often the thing. You feel great until you don't.
I only wish I had your scores@Pablo

What is the mechanism here? Chew=>plaqueWhere did I get my plaque?
Probably from 20+ yrs (1974ish to 1995) of chewing/dipping Copenhagen tobacco. I was young a bullet proof then. NOT NO MOE.
large amounts, yrs & yrs, of addictive Nicotine = plaqueWhat is the mechanism here?
