ILSAC GF-4/API SM UOAs?

Have the used oil analysis for GF-4/API SM conventional oils shown significant improvements over GF-3/SL conventional oils?

Yes I think they have. I wouldn't say significant, but I do think the GF-4 conventional oils are better then the GF-3.

Before GF-4 was standardized, I heard rumors that the conventional oils were becoming more and more like Group III synthetics. Is there any truth to this? Should I look forward to stocking up GF-5/SN oils in the future?

In some ways, the GF-4 dinos are performing as good as the synthetics of old. Some are using all Group III and some Group II+.

In the long run zinc and moly are more important than group III, so which popular PCEO has the best additive package? Is it SM or a 10w-40 SL?

In dinos, I would think the 5W-20s have the best add-packs.
