If I'm going to run a fuel injection cleaner on my car, should I do it right before my next oil change or after?

Run the injection cleaner before you fill up the oil filter with oil

Wow... Air filters? Really? Not busting balls, well not that much anyway..

Sure, any dirt that gets by the air filter during a change gets dumped out of the oil a day or say later. Why not?

Before or after... Be sure and pick it up before you pay at dollar place.

Always do it the tank before an oil change. There will always be at least some of that cleaner that makes it into the sump.

Detergent gasoline is just that, it has cleaning substances in it. I have never had any fuel injection cleaner make any type of difference at all, in any way. If you do run it, just run it. IMHO Techron would be your best choice since many garages use it.

I feel like we over complicate things here, and spread fear with our anal retentive responses.

You are making too big of an issue out of this. Use the additive and drive it.

I just throw a bottle of B12 in the tank on random fillups, usually 3/4 times a year.
