If I Only Had $30k to spend...

Niche vehicle with very narrow market appeal.

Not my cup of tea. But there are fans of used police cruisers out there. Usually some odd characters around here but they are spending low dollars on them.

I paid less than a third of the sale price for my supercharged Marauder(tho it did have 42K mi), wanna race???

That thing is probably a evaluation/test model that's had the snot beat out of it...

Still haven't seen one of these up here....Canadian cops are still working through their 'stash' of CVP's.

I know it's an ex-cop car, but the interior of that car has a really dirty, cheap, 'worn' look to it...bleh!

Actually, I'd be suprised if this car was ever in an actual police fleet. It has just over 9k mi on it, and the dealers description says they bought it from a "GM Sale"(I take that as straight from General Motors...) probably a small fleet of "test" cars gm imported (salesman said its one of about 8 in the US.)

Broward Sheriff and other agencies have been testing the new Caprice for months now down here..Some agencies [like Sunrise] to my surprise picked the Charger instead of the Caprice..The Leos said the Charger handles better and is more comfortable then the Caprice..Since the Charger is 1800 bucks cheaper then the Caprice that is what they are going to get.

The agencies down here are sorry to see the Vic go but it looks like the Charger is going to be the next popular Leo vehicle down here..For the most part anyway.

I think the cops just want to have a crack dealer car.

No offense to any Charger owners here, they are perfectly fine cars, but unfortunately around here they are associated with two very different professions.

Guess you don't know too much about the 6.0.
Other than that I what would get a G8, maybe with some rims it would look better. I would only like it for the drive train.

I saw one on the Hot Rod Power Tour last year...cool car. Weird looking, but cool. I'd love one...but not for $30K!

Good grief.

Why the fuss over this car, now, when better Holdens than the Caprice were on sale here, for less money, brand new, for better than two years? Anybody could have walked into a Pontiac showroom and bought one.

They were practically giving new Pontiacs away when they killed it. When I bought our '09 Solstice I could have bought a brand new G8 GXP with the 6.2 LS3 at the same time for another $34K cash. The G8 beats the Caprice like a full house beats two of a kind.

+1, holy cheap interior plastic Batman!

The G8 to me was the only Pontiac I would have ever considered. Decent looking sedan(limited tackiness), reasonable, V8 and most importantly manual transmission.
