I'm having an intermittent rough idle problem.
Sometime when hot it idles at 750, witch I think is normal, but sometimes it goes down to 500.

Lots of Honda's had this problem in the past but they were almost dying when they depress the clutch at a red light. Mine is an automatic and its not that bad, its just vibrating a bit too much, I can feel it in the steering wheel.

I know you can adjust the Idle Control Valve on the throttle body, or clean it, because with time, it can get lazy.

Now, normal idle when hot, from my manual, is 750 to 1000 rpm.

I had a vacuum leak from a MAP sensor a month ago, O-ring rubber gasket was the problem. Everything looks fine now, except rough idle.

My car is well maintained, so is adjusting the Idle Control would fix my problem?

Thanks!

If IAC lets more air slip by, wont another control work to bring it down to spec? I was under the impression that only ECU reprogramming can change the set point.

Really? Never heard of adjusting that, and I consider it impossible.

Clean your TB and idle air valve really well, check and repair vacuum leaks.
