Idiot instructions for window air conditioner

I picked up a small window air conditioner yesterday. The instruction book is written for morons. In the instructions it says "At the front of the unit you may hear the sound of rushing air".
Really!! We would never have seen instructions like this a few years back. This is crazy. They should have added that if you do not hear the sound of rushing air your unit may be broken

Yep, I picked up a 12000btu Midea window shaker a/c unit a few weeks back. I didn't need them, but the instructions are pretty bad.

Somewhere in those instructions it probably says to open the window prior to installing the unit.
