Ideas to flavor water

I didn't say you shouldn't filter your water. I hope you filter your shower water because when you shower you absorb a lot more contaminants compared to drinking a couple of glasses of water. I forget the exact figure. It wasn't pretty.
I take it then that hot tubs are extremely unhealthy given that you’re soaking in steamy water that’s full of chlorine?

Hot chlorinated water outgasses more chlorine gas and keeping chlorine levels as low was possible is advised. There are alternatives. Chlorine filters for the whole house or the shower/faucets only. There are also other sanitization methods like ozon treatment together with the use of sodium chlorocyanurate, bromine, mico-filtration, UV, and silver/copper sanitizers which work with very low chlorine levels. Chlorine is so popular because it's cheap. The recommended chlorine levels for public pools in the USA is 4ppm. The limit in Europe is 0.6.

Thanks, I guess my question was more geared towards trying to figure out if my habit of using the public hot tub is doing more harm than good. I’ve read lots of studies regarding heat exposure for better health outcomes and have been using both the sauna and hot tub interchangeably.

I do hot tub and ice baths. I filter out most of the chlorine. I would say as long as you don't outright get irritation like breathing issues or dry skin, eczema, etc, you are probably fine, at least in the short term. But there's no way around chlorine being an oxidizer that's hard on tissue.

I've tried all sorts of flavor additives and they all taste nasty . Super cold ice water or sweet tea is the only thing I can stand .

Lemon water at least once every day is my plan. 12 oz of water and juice of half of a lemon. Keeps toxins down in the liver, kidneys and bladder. Not talking full strength lemonade, but to the point you can see just a slight cloudiness in the water.

I'm in same boat. Need to ditch the zero sodas and drink more water. Best water I ever tasted was on Submarines. RO units. Seawater to drinking water. Seriously, super clean and great tasting.
