Pay off my utility bills during the year.

I just took the $30 Pennzoil rebate and paid off the minimal balance I had on my electric bill this month.

I did the same thing with my Shop Your Way credit card and the money I got from the Upside app. Now I have a pretty solid credit balance.

I also use the money I get from market research studies and surveys for the same purpose.

What do you guys do with yours?

Another boring statement credit guy. The only money I "try" to sequester is overtime pay, try to have a little fun with it. Or I work OT to pay a particularly odious bill.

I find that more businesses are adding a surcharge for credit or offering a discount for cash. It probably started with the tiered gas pricing.

Goes in the Fidelity taxable pot. Never a complaint.

The Costco card this year, was a bit of a hassle. Some mismatch of print number. Long story short yes we got our $$$ but wife had reprinted but used the original, so mismatch. Found out paperless on the coupon not just the statements is the way to go..........boomer problem! We switched over.

At this point, I look at our $65 fee as a weekly $1.25 admission for free samples of varying types and sizes!

Statement credits. I watch the exclusive deals which allow you to use points at a higher rate for credit. Currently, there's an offer for an additional 25% for purchases at gas stations, but I've used points for up to 100% additional statement credits.

Personally, I've never found a travel deal on their website where using points, even transferring to a partner, was better than booking flights and hotels some other method.

One credit card gives us credit to use at casinos and their hotels and restaurants. Through various bonus earning periods and whatnot, we're up to about $2000 in credit.

Another credit card gives us travel credit. So, we'll book airfare to Vegas and get reimbursed a credit for the airfare.

I take the cash option and place the money in my dedicated car replacement account.
I have one card that used to cut a check when the rebate hit $100. Now they only offer either statement credit, or I would have to set up an account with that bank and pay a monthly fee.
So, I am going to take cash from the grocery budget and make the deposit to the car account for the amount off that card.
Then I'll buy groceries off the statement credit.
