I'm looking for a clear glue that can bond a galvanized soft steel rod inside of a snug hole in a 3D printed part made with PLA +.

If it's an epoxy, it needs to have a long working time such as 30 minutes or more.

There's lots of clear glues out there but not all will work well for this application.

Also, it would be nice if the price was low.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Apologies if this isn't helpful as it doesn't directly answer your question, but any thoughts on heat-setting a knurled brass insert, then using a die to cut matching threads in the end of the rod?

I used threaded holes and rod for first prototypes but that is time consuming.

We used heat but that sometimes does not look neat, and we even ruined a few parts.

It looks like glue is the way to attach things for the application. But since it's for production of large quanties, JB Weld clear 5 minute results in too much being wasted.

Thanks for the response.
