I miss fram oil filters

I miss the OG Ultra and Titanium. Fram is not the same company it once was. First Brands strikes again….

Since they cheaped those out there's not a single oil filter I've been truly impressed with, the only "good" filters now seem to be all the generic Asian ones Pentius or Pemium Gaurd or equivalent, all the American brands seem to be having terrible consistency issues, the new Carquest EP 20k filters look pretty promising but if you're not buying it with an oil change bundle $17 a pop is a little steep.

I believe he’s talking about an internal leak we’ve found in some c&p’s. The leaf spring stamping has been pretty horrible lately. Gaps are sometimes present where the leaf spring is supposed to seal on the end cap. Although it’s less common on fiber end cap Frams and more common on the Ultra and Endurance.

i have used fram eg's and tg's in the past there's nothing wrong with em. even tried the titanium which came with an oil/filter sale at advance auto once. i wouldn't normally spend that much on a filter and oil purchase but i had a gift card. i would have no issue using a fram again.
