After reading all of the reviews of these Pirelli Scorpion AS PLUS 3 tires and watching the TireRack's video on them, I finally ordered 4 from the TR for my '23 VENZA LE (225-60-18).

There is a $100 Pirelli rebate(7/17- 8/6) on these tires(others too) as well as $21.50/tire($82) right off the top at checkout from the TR.
The OE Dunlop GRANDTREK PT20 have seen their better day at 20K miles. I could push then to 25K miles and replace before this coming winter but why? when there is a $182 off RIGHT NOW !

Pirelli seems to be my go-to tires at the high(er) end, as I have had several sets of P4, P7 & now the Scorpion listed above.
Michelin just doesn't have what I want at this time in my size for ride/quiet. I don't want the CC2 nor the Defender2 but I did strongly consider the Continental CrossContact LX25. However with the current price on the Scorpion AS PLUS 3, I can't go wrong. :)

If budget was a concern, I may(MAY) have gotten something else such as the General AltiMAX RT45 or Cooper Endeavor PLUS as I think that both companies have come a long way in the last decade or two. Keeping in mind that not all tires come in all sizes. So when others recommend tires to me, they may not come in my size(s).

But with the discount & rebate, these Scorpion AS PLUS3 are le$$ expensive than the least expensive tire in my size for my type of vehicle.

I have these tires on my 2017 RDX. Good tires although they are getting noisy with over 41k miles on them. I bought mine through Sam's Club when they had a special on installation. It cost me about $850 out the door.

We put a set of the four season Pirelli weather active tires on my daughters mkx !
First time buying Pirelli's and they have been outstanding so far ! excellent winter performance and trust me I would know . Lol.....

Those are very good tires. In line with the previous generation Michelin tires, which were truly excellent. Today's Michelin offerings have noise issues.

You will like them, and get good service from them.
Yeah, Michelin are not as quiet at they once were.

Nice! After I have my guy install & RFB, I'll be at ~$830 when all is said & done.

I've got about 3K miles on these same tires currently, wrapped on 19" AMG wheels. The ride is tight, very controlled, firm but comfortable. The grip in wet or dry conditions is excellent, body control is confidence inspiring and braking distance is reassuring. They are XL rated tires, great for more portly vehicles (which the Merc is) and they have an excellent treadwear rating.

I will say that if you drive a lot on grooved-lane interstates then you may experience a bit of tram lining effect, depending on how deep the grooves are. For my commute into Chicago, I take I-90E and a good portion of it is grooved parallel to the direction of travel. The Michelins I replaced did not exhibit any tram lining, but these new Pirellis do. The more they wear in, the less noticeable it is, but be aware that some people have been so bothered by this that they've returned the tires and bought something else instead.

YMMV...

Hmmm... I was looking at those for the CX-90, but my size isn't showing the discount on Tire Rack. I'm guessing it's because it only applies to in-stock tires, and my size is on backorder?

Edit: Oops... no, it's that I was looking at the Scorpion Zero AS Plus 3. Those are not on special.

They don't seem to offer any mileage warranty. That is why I passed on them.

What is the $82 off at checkout?

Hi loneryder,

The TireRack site states...$20.50 per tire instantly with every tire purchase on the Scorpion AS PLUS 3. I had a typo earlier in my statement by saying, $21.50, my mistake!
I did a little searching in other sizes and sadly it's not on every size. However, some sizes actually have a $40.50/tire instant discount.
I guess that I got lucky with my size, 225-60-18.

Some Michelin tires have an $80 instant rebate on the e.g. Defender LTX MS/2 at checkout but you must buy 4 tires. IDK if it's on every size or model.

EDIT:
For those who have 225-65-17, the Scorpion AS PLUS 3 have a $40.50/per tire instant rebate at checkout($162 off of 4 tires) along with the Pirelli $100 rebate(4 tires). HOLY ****!

Thanks. It's not on my size. I think I'm going to order them. Need to find out how much mounting is going to be. I was waiting for Costco's sale to change to Michelin where it's $80 off but I may go with these.
