Thunderbird issues:

Ah yes, bwahaha. I have Win98. It's very simple in XP likely because MS faced 38 anti-competition lawsuits between building Win98 and XP. It appears that Outlook is hardcoded to use IE under Win98.quote:
My Outlook 2003 and XP clients all open links from emails in Firefox, or Opera, depending on what I have it set to. It's very simple, you simply need to make the default Web browser in windows the browser of your choice (i.e. Firefox) and then it will be pulled 99% of the time.
Most of the time that an application is coded to launch a webbrowser, and open a link, it is simply calling the system default, not internet explorer specifically.
I tried Opera a few days ago. I was ready for a change from Firefox and decided to give it a shot. I really like it, I like the features mentioned above, and I like the way the tabs work on it where when you pull the browser up you have the option to have it open to the last place it was when it was closed. The problem I have with it, I set it up, and followed the instructions on the website, but after using it for a while, it would become slow as christmas. I uninstalled it completely and reinstalled it and it kept doing the same thing.quote:
