latest date is OCT 1 1901. If those dates are righteous. I think there is good chance that it belonged to Wallace Crispin. He was my father's mother's youngest brother who died of Spanish flu in 1918. It doesn't have the cocking lever like a Red Ryder. It breaks like a single barrel shot gun to cock. Needs seals but is intact otherwise.I'm looking for a Daisy forum to help me rebuild it TIA

Check out 24campfiredot com or rimfirecentral dotcom. Get in the air rifle forums and someone will direct you.

I went through the Daisy BB gun museum a few years ago and my brother and I both purchased new air rifles there. I love BB guns and you should post a picture of yours and have it restored. A before and after picture.

I'd leave it just as it is.
You can buy a $40 new one that shoots better so no need to rebuild it.
I have a 17th century 10 mm French airgun and the beauty is, it just still exists.

Here's my 17th century 10 mm air rifle..

The buttstock was originally covered in shark skin and has long since deteriorated. I bought some faux stuff to replace it but never got around to it.
