I find this incredibly wasteful

God that thing is ugly. Wasteful? Maybe. His money. Here in Washington, I have seen at least 20, some painted. Listen if an EV is for you that is great and there are plenty that I like. I just can't get behind the Cyber Truck. For the price it does nothing particularly well.

Yeah - that's stupid wasteful. This is just senseless.

Then again, I also think most 5k mile synthetic OCIs are wasteful, and that doesn't stop most folks from the act of "cheap insurance" ....

So, to each their own.

.
In all fairness though used oil gets recycled and reused. If I were to pick a single common vehicular act that is likely the most wasteful and impactful to the environment I would say excessively large or inefficient vehicles, like SUV, trucks and Jeeps.

I find it incredibly wasteful as well.

But you see this approach across social media: take something, and abuse it until it fails. Doesn’t matter if it’s a $78,000 truck, or a brand new firearm.

Clearly, the maker of this video has figured out that destroying stuff generates views, and he gets paid by the number of views.
I have to be honest. If I had stupid money, I would do stupid stuff with the money. I am not to smart.

Wasteful? Well if everyone had to figure out everything from scratch, how wasteful would it be? Of course, most who buy one of these abomination would not likely ever drive off road.

If I was a big wig at Tesla, I would want to know all I could, and this is one great test.

IMO - It takes a “special person” to wants to drive a CT …
On the other hand - these two met for lunch in what they like:

Think about it as if it were a movie being made. Haven't you seen more expensive cars or trucks destroyed in the name of art?
If one more late 60’s Dodge Charger is destroyed in a movie I will move to Canada. Leave them alone!!!!
