I don't have one. Only photos of the wound after stitches were removed. But I was told it was very large and also tested and found to have a large infection.
I dunno. I just know i set my eyes on the open wound for the first time today and almost crapped my pants. You could fit a tennis ball in my back. It was a shocker.
I had a cyst removed back in the day. It was nowhere near as large as yours. I was told if they just drained it and didn't also remove the sack it was in, it would come back.
Anxiety and stress can cause that.
Several of us here know...you need to kick back and try to keep stress at a minimum. Go on cruise mode.
Don't involve yourself in any stress you don't have too.
Hang in there and include counting by weeks, months, and years. None of us truly know what our future will bring. Be thankful you have a doctor who cares and will do what's best for you in the short and long term.
Doctors told me 15 years ago "I don't know why you're still alive". After that, my initial goal was to see my youngest of five kids graduate high school. I'm now up to 10 grandchildren and counting.
Take care and know there are many people thinking of you.
