0 degrees right now and the temperature is expected to drop to around -9 by mid to late morning tomorrow. Work will be slow.

This is my first time running 5w30 in my Jeep since becoming a BITOG'r. Not trying to sound like the guys in Florida that say the 0w30 in their mower makes for an easier start, but I can certainly tell by the way my Jeep starts that the 5w30 is easier on things.

It is a balmy -25C right now here (-13F for you American folks). Coldest it has been so far this winter.

It was 78-80 yesterday, but only 76 today and dropping everyday down to only 70 on Saturday ! Where is my sweater and jacket ?

I've been driving my truck this week. I had the heat set to full hot, fan half speed, for just about the whole drive to work (so 50+ min). Brr! It was a long walk into the building.

The Focus' transmission made lots of funny noises when I let the clutch out to let it idle for a minute. We had SLIPPERY snow last night ... It was just a dusting, but it was incredibly slippery. I didn't think I was going to get up my hill in the Focus. Managed to start sliding down it backwards in gear a bit.

I'm not sure the Cherokee would turn over at this temperature. It's been sitting for a few days so the remote start system probably drained the battery past the point it will start.

I was out feeding the herd last night and it was a bit chilly to start(I leave my barn boots outside) but after carrying a few buckets of water and bringing in some firewood I was toasty, so I went for a walk up the driveway to look at the stars and the moon coming up, check for fresh deer tracks etc... It was probably -30C or so with the wind chill, but it was fine for short walk in barn clothes.
