Bad fire / overpass collapse for I-95 near Philly.
can the two bridges operate and use local roads. I think so but it would be a mess. I have taken both and “not” gotten on 95. This will strain the local neighborhoods
I recall something like this in Delaware. We had to exit and use local streets. Phila residents are gonna see the same. Look out the window and never ending cars. It’s truly detrimental to their quality of life…twist of fate for everyone I guess…At least they have other roads and freeways. Some parts of the country don’t have that. Makes for a very long detour.
I think this also happened in NJ many years ago in Meadowlands. A dump caught on fire and damaged the roadway above. Or something like that.I recall something like this in Delaware. Happened in Columbus in 2015 when a tanker caught fire under I-70W. They quickly made a new path for westbound traffic and divided the 70E overpass to handle both east and westbound traffic.
