Hyundai i30N Oil Recommendations

Hello from Australia,

Long time first time. Looking for an oil recommendation for my 2019 Hyundai i30N. Some details:
- Manufacturer's handbook recommends ACEA C2 0W-30, although also seems to suggest 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-50 will also work (there is reference to a chart with all of the above listed if 0W-30 "is not available in your country"). Change intervals 10k or 12 months
- Generally take short suburban trips with the car although have the occasional long (1hr plus) highway drive. I've also been known to seek out twisty roads if they vaguely get me to my destination. I've also booked my first track day for November (the main reason for this post!)
- Car has no known problems although it has done over 100,000 kms.

I'd love to understand mainly:
1) Recommended oils (brands and/or types), both for a track day and general day-to-day, remembering I'm from Australia so need to be able to buy locally and ideally in a big box store (Supercheap, Autobarn, Repco) or easily available online. Bonus points if you present recommendations upside down for my easy reading :)
2) I've read in some Australian forums I could consider using a 10W-40 or similar given our temperatures very rarely drop below 0 (celsius), although in summer we can have over 40+ days, plus also the thinner oil could help with track day extremes. No idea if this is correct though so would love the opinion of the gurus!

I think Australia has the higher viscosity Valvoline Restore and Protect. For the normal drives I'd say the 5W-30, maybe higher. Keep an eye on fuel dilution. The Hyundai motors here list a severe service of 3750 miles/6 months. I wouldn't go more than 5k miles. Not an "N" but my daughter-in-laws '21 Tucson with 2.0 NU you could see the oil level rise on dipstick from dilution within 3k miles. For me that equates to get it out and replaced accordingly.

You could do some oil samples to see how the oil is in your motor under your usage conditions.

Any issues with burning?

For 0W-30 based on users here, Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 seems to be a solid choice with many approvals and supposedly good for the cleaning aspect of ring area on piston.

Mobil Australia also lists a 5W-30 ESP which "should" be more shear stable with less viscosity index improvers needed.

Since it's the N version I'd steer towards euro type oils. You're fine using whatever low cost euro oil like penrite. Don't do extended drains keep it changed at under around 5,000km. I think I'd use enviro 5w-40.

Thanks for this, appreciate the detail and the more frequent oil changes is something I'll pay attention to. No issues with burning I'm aware of. The ESP 0W-30 is actually what I bought last year in a 1L to keep in my car boot so nice to hear I'm on the right track!

Can I ask why the Valvoline given it's not 0W-30 and not C2? I'm open to it but always like to understand why (and I'm a rookie with engine oil).

Thanks, I can see the enviro 5w-40 is ACEA C3 - is this a better standard than C2?
