Exactly, my business partner just sold a POS property to another guy who I don't like. I'm glad he overpaid and will now proceed to lose his shirt for the next few years. I'm going to enjoy watching it from the sidelines.

The "hypothetical" question doesn't contain enough information to be useful.

For example, is the hypothetical buyer purchasing physical assets only, or are there employees and clients involved? Is my dislike of the potential buyer just my personal distaste, or do employees/clients also dislike the potential buyer?

If it is assets/equipment only I wouldn't care who buys it. If there are employees and/or clients involved, then I'd be quite careful about the person I choose as my successor since their continued welfare depends upon my choice.
