I would like to make my own soy wax container candles. Why soy wax? It's renewable, non-toxic, biodegradable, and it burns slower and cooler than paraffin wax. A 10 pound sack of soy wax granules can be had for $20, shipping included, so making soy wax myself may not be economical. But if want to make soy wax from soy bean oil via hydrogenation just for kicks, how do I best go about it? I can set a up a lab in the garage or in the basement.
