Hydraulic Oils in Komatsu

In response to the private message.......... Can't get the image post option without starting new, so here goes.
It's not so much the viscosity that matters here (although important) but the additive package. This is a quote I have translated in one of my maintenance bulletins a couple of years ago that is still valid.
“There has been a lot of discussion on this subject, but as of this date, the only product recommended by Komatsu for hydraulic system use is SAE10W engine oil that meets API specification CD (or later specification in this series) or MIL-L-2104. At this time, the use of AW series hydraulic oils, such as AW46 are not recommended.” I don't remember the exact Komatsu site where I got it, but I am in constant contact with some of their distributors.
The Calcium and higher levels of anti-wear are critical in the valves, as well as the absorbsion of moisture.
