Well..the issue is a bit more complicated...it's not all level...driveway has a slope, so top of driveway is at about four feet from street level.
That means truck, when parked, won't get water on the hubs until the garage floods...or about the time my neighbor parks his boat in his level driveway next door.
But any other car would get salt-soaked at that level...not good...
The truck stays nearby in case we have to get out during the storm surge...
So, while the 24 hour news cycle has moved on to important topics like Hillary's appearance on SNL, Hurricane Joaquin devastated several places in the Carribean.
We didn't escape unscathed either. Little property damage, compared with Sandy, but the neighborhood kids seemed to make the best of it...
The backyard was suitable for kayaking as well
On a good day, the street is quite nice...but when there is a storm surge, one has to batten down the hatches...and move the cars to higher ground...
